A day to learn more about klezmer, or be introduced to this magical repertoire by Ilana Cravitz (NKYO Director).

We’ll be studying some of the National Klezmer Youth Orkester tunes and playing them together, looking at style, ornamentation, accompaniment and ensemble skills. 

When: 2-5.30pm on Monday 21 April 2025

We will:

- learn klezmer tunes & accompaniments

- work together on arrangements

- discuss performance skills

Players of all instruments are welcome

Age: 8-18 years

Level: grade 4 or equivalent and upwards

Tutor: Ilana Cravitz (violin)

Cost: £25 (£15 concs), with scholarship places available.
