Yiddish Summer School 2026

A new UK Yiddish Summer School! 17-21 August in north London.

Featuring:

• Yiddish language & conversation sessions

• Klezmer music & dance workshops

• Klezmer Youth programme, for under-18s - Yiddish song workshops

• Talks on Yiddish history, music, literature and more

• Yiddish poetry readings

• Puppetry workshops

This programme celebrates the vibrant Yiddish cultural community in London, with an illustrious faculty already confirmed: Sima Beeri, Osian Evans Sharma and Tamara Micner will teach the Yiddish programme, Ilana Cravitz, John Macnaughton and Adina Presman will lead the klezmer course, and Polina Shepherd, Phil Tomlinson and Isadora Pulman will teach the Yiddish Song programme. More speakers and workshop leaders will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
